The season “spotlights the couple as they bring new life to outdated homes in their small town of Laurel, Mississippi, while navigating their busy family life,” according to HGTV. The popular series, starring home reno enthusiasts Ben and Erin Napier, is all about paying tribute to the American small-town life. Every episode highlights the couple's dedication to rebuilding and revamping the area's historic homes while helping out their neighbors in the process.

The publisher of the local paper, Brian Porter, also wrote that he has received no communication from HGTV representatives despite repeated requests for details on local projects. Now, the dream has come true and they moved into their dream home in 2008 after they got married. Since then, they have restored that 1925 house and created both a new story and a new home for themselves. Of course, a trip to Laurel wouldn't be complete without a stroll to see some historic homes.

In the end, Ben and Erin create the ultimate gathering place complete with a custom table for outdoor dining and a pergola party area. The couple met while they were students at the University of Mississippi and were married in 2008. They have two daughters, Helen, who was born in January 2018, and Mae, who was born on May 28, 2021. The couple also recently appeared in one of Discovery+’s new scripted holiday movies, “A Christmas Open House,” which is available to stream on the platform now.

Main Street was packed with cheering townspeople, from the high school football team to local shop owners. Then for $185,000, a cottage originally restored for married couple Mackenzie and Jim Hurt, has been put up for sale. The six-episode spinoff will feature the Napiers working with another community to renovate multiple homes and public spaces within a single town.
